How Popmoney Works

Flash Content

The money you send and receive using Popmoney ultimately transfers from bank account to bank account. The convenience is that now you only need to know someone's email address or mobile phone number to send money. The recipient will be notified via the method you choose, and can decide where they want the money deposited. You can also direct money straight into an account if you know the recipient's bank account information.

The many ways to use Popmoney

Popmoney offers a convenient alternative to cash and checks which can be managed from within netBanking or Mobile Banking. There are many ways to use Popmoney to make personal payments easier, such as:

  • Paying your landlord
  • Making charitable donations
  • Paying a friend back for lunch or tickets
  • Contributing money to a group gift or dinner
  • Sending money to students

How do I sign up to use Popmoney with Anchor Bank?

You need to be enrolled in our netBanking service and Bill Pay.  That's it.  Once enrolled, you can send and receive money through the 'Quick Bill Pay' area of your netBanking homepage, in the Bill Payment area of Bill Pay, and through the Mobile Browser or downloadable application if you are enrolled in our Mobile Banking Service. Popmoney fees apply for sending payment but not for picking up money.
